FBI, NSA & PRISM vs Data Security & Privacy. But what about my CRM data ?

None of us have escaped the recent news and leaked information about FBI, NSA and PRISM surveillance and said requests for implied access to our data from internet service companies, and cloud-based business solution providers.  Recent articles by CNET (English) and Spiegel Online (German), also bring into question the effectiveness of SSL encryption, used by most cloud service providers to secure their sites. This refers to the HTTPS in your website address as well as the little lock symbol which appears in your browser. SSL is a security technology used to establish a secured and encrypted link between you and your computer's browser, and the web site / server which you are trying to access. Implement State and Country Picklists in Salesforce

Who knows how to Implement State and Country Picklists ? The process of transitioning from text-based state and country fields to state and country picklists involves 3 steps: 1-Configure the state and country picklists in the Metadata API. This step is optional but recommended. For more information, read about the AddressSettings component in the Metadata API Developer's Guide. 2-Scan your organization’s data and customizations to see how they’ll be affected by the switch. You probably need to convert data and update such customizations as list views, reports, and dashboards so they continue to work with the new data type. 3-Convert existing data. The conversion process lets you map the various values in your organization to standard picklist values. For example, U.S., USA, and United States all map to US. SEAM Process - Applied to Salesforce.com / CRM Projects

SEAM , defined as "Systemic Enterprise Architecture Methodology" is to be applied to salesforce.com and DRO projects by Nexell. SEAM, developed by the Swiss EPFL based in Lausanne , together with Prof. Alain Wegmann, is a process analysis framework allowing companies to map their business processes and needs to their IT infrastructures. This approach relates directly to the business need for CRM and how it should be applied to salesforce.com and cloud-based projects. In simple terms, SEAM can be compared to sewing, where different materials, possibly with different patterns, need to be matched and aligned, to achieve a common goal & result. Nexell's approach to SEAM, together with the EPFL, allows for alignment of salesforce.com different "Cloud" solutions. Nexell - Salesforce team in Geneva

It is with pleasure that we announce the setup of our Nexell team in Geneva, effective immediately. Resulting from discussions over the last months, the company e-novate.ch has joined with Nexell to provide CRM / Salesforce.com services in the region. This new group will be managed and will work under the Nexell name & brand. This expands our team with four (4) additional people, locally based in Geneva, and who are specialized in CRM consulting & development and have also previously worked onsalesforce.com projects. This team, due to their experiences on previous projects, can immediately support pursuits & projects in the region. Our goal is to, in the next year, focus, build and strengthen our presence in the region and work together with the sfdc teams towards joint successes.
