As a leading provider of communication and entertainment services, UPC has been operating in the Swiss market since 1994. Known in those days as Cablecom it became UPC Cablecom in 2011 and has been known as UPC since 2016. The company's roots can be traced back to Rediffusion AG, established in 1931 and today it serves over 2 million subscribers in both the B2C and B2B markets.

Via UPC’s own infrastructure UPC offers packages of internet connectivity, VPN, SD-WAN, managed LAN, voice, managed security and more. In 1998 UPC launched its dedicated B2B service and in 2014 the company also launched its own mobile services. Today about 1,500 people are employed by UPC in Switzerland at locations, including Wallisellen (headquarters), Bern, Renens and Manno.
